About Us

Exploring Minds Montessori was founded and opened by Ameera Parker on the 1st of February 2021. Ameera always had a vision and a goal of opening up her own Montessori preschool as she is extremely passionate about teaching children and the love she has for the Montessori method. She decided to open up her Montessori preschool during lockdown as a way of spreading positivity and love to children during the tough times we are in. She would also like to spread her love for education and teaching young minds.

Our home-based school follows the Montessori approach where the children are taught how to be independent, respectful, and given the freedom of choice within limits. Our aim is to meet the needs of the whole child by nurturing their emotional, social, spiritual, and cognitive development while using stimulating activities that are placed on the shelves. We strive to create life-long learners, enabling the explorers to develop good self-esteem and self-confidence. We ensure that we have created a safe and child-friendly environment to make sure that all children are well looked after in our care.

Our vision at Exploring minds Montessori is to provide learners with a safe and secure environment in which they are able to develop and prosper within. We aim to create a passion for learning and motivation to keep exploring through different learning materials. At Exploring Minds our aim is to create a love for learning for our little life-long learners.

Our mission

Our mission is to meet the whole child physically, cognitively, emotionally, socially, and spiritually in a manner that would satisfy the child. Our mission is to provide and follow the Montessori philosophy within a safe and secure environment by trained educators. We are more than happy to assist, making sure that both parents and teacher has a full understanding of what is expected, only leading to the success of our future explorers!

Staff

We are a school that consist of one teacher who has a very strong passion for teaching and would like to spread her love for education to little ones so that they can grow up to love learning and have a positive outlook on school. We are always making sure that our environment is well prepared for the children so that they can explore our environment to the best of their ability by meeting all of their needs and interests.

Principal/Directress: Ameera Parker

Ameera has studied for 3 years at Headtstart Mercy Montessori Africa and has obtained her Montessori diploma in 3-6 and a certificate for the ages 6-9 in 2017. She has over 7 years of experience when it comes to working with children as she has volunteered, worked at schools and aupaired to gain experience. She has also done various online courses to broaden her knowledge and will be studying towards her degree next year.
